What means being an au pair?

Being an au pair is much more than being a nanny.

As an au pair you will be part of your host family and you will be considered as the oldest sister. Your main responsibilities will rely on childcare, but you also have to be aware that you will have to help with housework related to the kids (making their beds, do their laundry, etc.) As an au pair you will receive pocket money weekly or monthly that will vary depending on the country you will live and work. You will have the chance to live with the family as another member of it and discover how they live.

Moreover, thanks to the au pair program, you will have the chance to study in the country while working as an au pair. Your job will also give you the chance to travel around the country and meet many people from that country as well as other au pairs living and working there.
